An AE-FUNAI student known as Jamesbliss Friday Alefia, on Tuesday, declared that he has gone back to farming. He insisted that he cannot continue waiting for school resumption date as there are better options to continue life as a student. Jamesbliss frowned as the school resumption saga continued which made him to take a decision and divert to farming.
He wrote on his Facebook account ‘I cannot continue waiting for resumption. My father did not go to school. He did what his mate does through farming. Tell the minister of Education that I have gone back to farming. I hate nonsense!’

Recall that the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) highlighted two requirements from the Nigerian Government before they end the ongoing strike. Speaking in an interview with DAILY POST on Tuesday, the National President of academic Staff Union of Universities said that schools would not reopen until the government meets two conditions. The two conditions are payment of lecturer’s salary and a standard environment for students.

A lot of students in Nigeria especially Federal University students are now losing hope on resumption due to the current issues between Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) and government which has been ongoing for months now. Students are urged to expect good news soon as Government and Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) issues would be hopefully rectified within this month.
Students who have resumed and those who are yet to resume are advised to make availability of some materials like face mask, hand sanitizer and other important materials that helps in the prevention of COVID 19.
Additionally, there is a higher possibility that all schools in Nigeria would resume this year. So, we all have to keep anticipating as the Nigerian Government and ASUU should reach an agreement before the middle or ending of this month.
